Tom Derr

Tom is a Collaborator with Persimmon Co-Lab focused on bridging the gap between research and practice through deep collaboration to strengthen connections between people, communities and nature. He previously served as Wildfire Resilience Program Manager with the National Forest Foundation, Senior Manager for EcoAgriculture Partners and Lead Coordinator of 1000 Landscapes for 1 Billion People. Earlier in his career, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uganda where he conducted community-based participatory action research while completing his M.S. in Human Geography from Utah State University where he also received a B.S. in Environmental Studies.
